What is the Asahikawa, Ski City Declaration?
We believe there are two primary approaches to ski trips. The first involves prioritizing slope access and staying in hotels close to ski resorts. The second option is staying in cities near ski resorts, allowing for a trip that includes city sightseeing. Opting to stay in the city tends to be cheaper than staying near ski resorts while offering more diverse tourist attractions suited for an extended ski vacation. Asahikawa city stands out by granting access to various ski areas and boasting a plethora of gourmet dining options. Convinced that Asahikawa is the ideal city for urban ski stays, OMO7 Asahikawa is taking on new challenges with the aim of transforming it into the ultimate destination for skiers and snowboarders.

4 Key Points that Make Asahikawa the Ideal Ski City
1. Attractive post-ski dining options at approximately 2,000 restaurants in the city center.
2. Large variety of ski slopes.
3. Ability to select the best ski resort based on daily weather and snow conditions.
4. Abundant alternative tourist attractions to visit when the weather is not fit for skiing.
